Picking up our cross and following Jesus
“God has called us to trade our life on earth for an eternal reward. We’ve been told to ‘pick up our cross and follow Him daily.’ It’s not supposed to be easy. In our culture, we’ve often been sold a brand of Christianity that doesn’t exist, and I want to rally against that. I think it’s important to emphasize that hard times are OK in Christianity. Your head stays up and still, when you’re trying to focus on God, life is not happy all the time.”
