“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
But the Devil also has a plan for us as well!
Did you realize that?
He wants us to do anything and be everything EXCEPT be obedient to God’s word! For by our obedience to God and His word, we are putting on the full armor of God - we are then strong because it is God’s armor, not ours - and the Devil will lose the battle when he comes into contact with a believer - a soldier on this battlefield of life - who is equipped and protected by God.
Why is this important? Because the Devil isn’t playing games with us…

What are you struggling with today?
Give it FULLY to God (not 80%, not 90%, not 99% … but 100%!). Ask Him to do for you what you finally have learned is impossible for you to do on your own. He will do it! Take God at His word. Trust and obey. As the old hymn goes, there truly is NO OTHER WAY.
God will fight for you! You’ll win the battle - in Christ!

Men (and women) are being deceived into believing the lie every day!
Sex-packed porn films featuring freshly-dyed blondes whose evocative eyes say “I want you” is quite possibly one of the greatest deceptions of all time. Trust me, I know. I did it all the time and I did it for the lust of power and the love of money. I never liked sex. I never wanted sex, and in fact I was more apt to spend time with Jack Daniels than some of the studs I was paid to “fake it” with. That’s right, none of us freshly-dyed blondes like doing porn. In fact, we hate it. We hate being touched by strangers who care nothing about us.

Even when women or men in the sex industry defend their choices, ask them if they would want their son or daughter to work in the industry and a look of horror usually passes their face. It’s easier to objectify those you don’t care about.
The industry is all about selling a fantasy. It’s like a mirage in a desert. You are so thirsty and then go to a pond of water. After the fantasy fades, you lay there, your mouth full of sand and more in need of water than you were at the beginning. Only, you’d be lucky if that were the worst thing that could happen to you from buying a fantasy. You’d be real lucky. Some people pay with their lives.

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live.”
Charles Spurgeon comments on this passage of scripture:
This is a glorious gospel type. Jesus, numbered with the transgressors, hangs before us on the cross. A look to Him will heal us of the serpent-bite of sin; will heal us at once—”When he looketh upon it, he shall live.” Let the reader who is mourning his sinfulness note the words—”Everyone that looketh upon it shall live.” Every looker will find this true. I have found it so. I looked to Jesus and lived at once, I know I did. Reader, if you look to Jesus you will live, too. True, you are swelling with the venom, and you see no hope, True, also there is no hope but this one. But this is no doubtful cure—”Everyone that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.”
The brazen serpent was not lifted up as a curiosity to be gazed upon by the healthy; but its special purpose was for those who were “bitten.” Jesus died as a real Savior for real sinners. Whether the bite has made you a drunkard, or a thief, or an unchaste or a profane person, a look at the great Savior will heal you of these diseases and make you live in holiness and communion with God. Look and live.
