ILIA needs our help - we just got this update from their manager:
I have a small prayer request to ask. Well the girls are out on tour with Manic Drive right now, the shows have been going great and the Lord has been blessing the ministry a lot, they have been seeing lots of people make decisions at shows and they have been really able to minister especially to girls that are dealing with issues of cutting, suicide, eating disorders, sexual abuse, abortion and many other issues. As is the ministry of ilia the music is only a small part of it. The music is just a means of getting into the door with kids and alot of the ministry comes after the shows with the girls giving out their personal myspace’s, aim address and cell phone #’s. We have also set up a prayer team on line where kids can come give prayer request or just talk to someone. The girls try to answer every prayer request and email personally, I wish you could read some of the emails that I see from kids and prayer requests that I see. As most of you know that has seen the band, this band isn’t about being rockstars or famous they just want to spread the hope and love of Jesus Christ and we know that God will take care of us as long as he wants us to do that.
We know that God has great things in store for this ministry and is already doing great things in this ministry and we know that Satan knows that this ministry is having an impact on the lives of kids. Yesterday they suffered a great attack from Satan to try to stop this ministry. They are in a town North of Dallas called Denison. They got up to head to Corpus Christi for the next show and the van’s engine blew up again, it is a brand new engine that we just put in back in December and thought we where good to go. Well the parts are under warranty but the labor isn’t and the girls are very strapped for cash right now to get the van fixed and it looks like they might be stuck for a week. So I am sending out this bulletin out to all of my friends on myspace asking for your prayers and maybe if you find it in your heart to help financially. The van is a 1987 conversion van with close to 200,000 miles on it and we have been praying for God to bring us a new van, but we just can’t afford it right now. The girls are out playing for love offerings at most shows and the money that is made goes right back into the major oil companies for gas.
We really need some financial support right now to get back up and running to continue the work that God has called them to do. The repair is going to cost about $1,000.00. (But what we really have been praying for is a new van.) We are also in the process of trying to rent a van to carry on with the ministry but that also takes financial support.
