Carried Away cartoon

We got this recent update from CARRIED AWAY:

What a year 2007 has been!

We’re so grateful that God had His hand in everything. From writing and recording our album “I Want You”, to the fall tour with Jump5, the great response we’ve received for our first single ‘Mystery’ & winning a Covenant Award for our song ‘I Want You’!

There’s still time to check out the interactive and download our Christmas single ‘Snow Falls’ on the Insiders site if you haven’t yet: www.insiders.carriedaway.ca!

We’ve got a lot of plans in the works for 2008 including another tour and the release of our song ‘Alive’ in the New Year. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for us!

Thank you so much for all your prayers and support! Have a very Merry CHRISTmas and a Happy New Year!

Jesus came to take away sin.
Has He taken away your sin?

INHABITED - ‘Angels Sing’ (MP3 clip)

Who are we
that You’d send Your Son
to bring us peace on Earth

Who are we
that You’d give Your life
that we might be set free

We sing Hallelujah

As the angels sing Your praise
And to You our lives we raise
In Jesus
Salvation,
Holy Lamb of God,
You’re the reigning king

We bow down
before You alone
And thank You for Your love
We’d be lost
and have no hope
If it wasn’t for Your grace

You are holy
And we fall on our face
You are Jesus
And we give You our praise
You’re our Healer,
Salvation, Redeemer,
Emmanuel - Salvation is here

REVIVAL - Meagan Taylor and Jason Coleman

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

Not only do Meagan Taylor and Jason Coleman sound a lot like their famous musical ancestors who shaped the sound of American music for the last half of the 20th century (Meagan’s great uncle was Chet Atkins, Jason’s Grandfather was Floyd Cramer), they also appear to have the impeccable taste that so well defined their music as well. Released in May 2007, REVIVAL is the debut album for the two as a duo.

Meagan and Jason - Revival

REVIVAL features Jason on piano and Meagan on guitar, and both of them lend their voices to most of the songs, as well. Among the host of talented musicians featured on the album are Charlie McCoy on harmonica and the late saxophonist Boots Randolph, who toured with Floyd and Chet for many years and tragically passed away just months after production.

The songs on REVIVAL are an eclectic range of genres, from country to jazz to folk to gospel, but they are all bound together by Jason and Meagan’s beautiful harmonies and complementary playing styles.

Adding to the uniqueness of REVIVAL is the fact that the album was recorded at Historic RCA Studio B in Nashville. In its early years, Floyd and Chet, along with an amazing roster of other music legends spanning all genres, recorded countless hit songs within its walls.

REVIVAL is available on iTunes and also from their online store.

Rebecca St. James

We recently read this online from Rebecca St. James

In all the increasingly busy bustle of Christmas, I just wanted to write you a quick note and encourage you to always remember that in the midst of the crowds– you are God’s beautifully unique, one-of-a-kind ‘you!’ I often think about that — that I am different to anyone else on the planet and that’s awesome. That means God loves us each in a unique way, and loves you just because you’re you. When I was growing up in Australia Dad promoted Christian shows and so my brothers and I would get to run around backstage. We thought we were pretty cool! If security stopped us at any point, we would either show them the backstage pass, or say ‘We’re David Smallbone’s kids’ and they would let us through. I remember feeling so confident and proud to be his daughter. God gave me a picture the other day that I feel led to share with you. He encouraged me that in life that’s where I can find my security, my sense of self-worth. By saying ‘I’m with God… I’m with Him!’. So when I’m feeling discouraged or insecure of unworthy, which I do from time to time, I’m going to remember that and I encourage you to too. You are ‘with HIM’!

With love, my friends!

Rebecca
