Outrageous grace

God’s grace is extravagant, irrational, extreme and incomprehensible. In fact, if you are a person with high justice values – a person who wants consequences to always match violations – then you will definitely find the grace of God outrageous. The good news is that if it weren’t outrageous, none of us could be saved!

In this four week salvation series, Kevin Gerald takes us on a journey to uncover the truth about God’s outrageous grace. We find God’s grace is unearned and unreasonable, but when we discover this reality, we will reign in life and be repositioned by His grace.

A Better Hour

Thursday, November 15th, 2007

Check out today’s BreakPoint commentary:

Research shows that teenage boys spend on average around 58 minutes a day playing video games. Girls were only slightly behind at 44 minutes a day. USA Today reports that teens spend about 16 percent of their time each day surfing the Internet or e-mailing. And then there is television, that omnipresent invader of our lives.

Could there be a better way to spend an hour than television-watching, Web-surfing, or gaming? Eighteenth-century English poet William Cowper thought so.

Cowper lived in a time as degenerate and self-indulgent as our own. Poverty, violence, prostitution, murder, thievery, and general lawlessness flourished.
