Porn Star Christmas Outreach

For many of us, the holiday season is a special time of joy and celebration with our families. But for porn stars and sex workers, the holidays can be the loneliest time of the year. We must never forget that for people still in the sex industry or those just beginning to walk the road of recovery, this is an extremely difficult and lonely time. Many porn stars and sex workers are estranged from their families and have no where to go on Christmas. I remember I spent many a holiday in a bar getting drunk or at another porn star’s house where we got high and stayed up all night. Our hearts were totally broken and the drugs and alcohol were what got us through. Some of us contemplated suicide on Christmas Day.
I don’t want ANYONE to suffer or feel alone the way I did and so I have come up with a plan! I want to do a Porn Star and Sex Worker Christmas outreach. I got the idea while looking through the books and CDs many of you have donated. I felt God whisper in my ear to put the books and CDs in Christmas Bags along with other goodies such as candy, bath soaps, perfumes, jewelry, DVDs, Bibles, etc…and then pass them out to the porn stars and sex workers. The filmmakers from “Traffic Control” already donated 100 Traffic Control DVDs to me to pass out to the porn stars. For those of you who are unaware, the movie Traffic Control has my story in it and is very inspiring. I have given the movie to several porn stars who tell me they were totally touched and bawled their eyes out. Between the Christmas Bags and the movie, I don’t see how they can stay in porn much longer!! Together with God’s help I believe this outreach will pull them out.
I am reaching out to approximately 15 people right now and would first give the bags to the those who are in recovery and then I will also contact porn stars still in the industry and offer to deliver the bags to them personally in their area which is in the San Fernando Valley, which is about an hour and a half from my home. I really believe they will feel SO LOVED and SO TOUCHED that people cared enough to give them a Christmas gift for no other reason than to just show them love. I also believe this small act of kindness will lead to a HUGE harvest of porn stars and sex workers who will leave the sex industry and begin the new year by rebuilding their lives.
