We all need to be reminded of this truth when doubt and frustration creep in and our faith is weak.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

If God asked me to do something like go to Africa. It’s kind of, “I’ll go, but I can’t do this by myself. You’re going to have to help me do this.” The idea that God doesn’t need you, but He wants you, is a totally different world. If you think about God as gathering up an army to go fight the devil and He needs the best of the best in His Army (so you can serve with the few, the proud, the Christians), it sounds impossible. Most of us look at ourselves and go, “I’m never going to make the cut for that.” But it’s much easier if you start understanding that He doesn’t need you at all, He’s going to do what He’s going to do.
