Former Kutless Members Create New Record Label
Thursday, August 9th, 2007Following their departure from the platinum-selling band Kutless, founding member Kyle Mitchell and bass player Kyle Zeigler have announced the first project release under their new label imprint, Verbatim Records. Newcomer Logan Martin’s debut CD entitled “Colorless” will release nationwide via Infinity Distribution on September 25, 2007.
“Logan is such a talented song writer and performer, and on top of that he is so genuinely committed to impacting people with his music, we really couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work with him on a deeper level,” says Verbatim Records co-founder Kyle Mitchell.
Mitchell and Zeigler left Kutless shortly after recording the highly-acclaimed “Strong Tower” project. Their mutual goal was to offer up-and-coming local and regional artists quality production options as well as assist them in promotion and distribution. Of all the artists they reviewed, they chose Logan Martin to be their first project on Verbatim.
“We were blessed to have Logan accept our invitation,” says Mitchell, “and we have had a great time producing his first project ‘Colorless.’ We truly believe it is an amazingly creative and accessible album with a strong spiritual message and a fantastic sound that many different types of music lovers will enjoy. Our passion at Verbatim has always been for music that can reach the hearts of people who listen to all different styles of music.”
To promote “Colorless,” Logan Martin will continue to be featured on tours with artists such as Phil Wickham, Shawn McDonald, and Warren Barfield. Martin, an Oregon native, began writing songs at age 14 and performing live a couple of years later. He has toured with Jeremy Camp and TobyMac, among others.
