God never changes

A.W. Tozer - Knowledge Of The Holy

What peace it brings to the Christian’s heart to realize that our Heavenly Father never differs from Himself. In coming to Him any time we need not wonder whether we shall find Him in a receptive mood. He is always receptive to misery and need, as well as to love and faith. He does not keep office hours nor set aside periods when He will see no one. Neither does He change His mind about anything. Today, this moment, He feels toward His creatures, toward babies, toward the sick, the fallen, the sinful, exactly as He did when He sent His only-begotten Son into the world to die for mankind.

God never changes moods or cools off in His affections or loses enthusiasm. His attitude toward sin is now the same as it was when He drove out the sinful man from the eastward garden, and His attitude toward the sinner the same as when He stretched forth His hands and cried, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” - A.W. Coming out of the darkness and into the light.
Coming out of the bondage of sin and into the freedom of Christ!

God transforms another person from the inside out. This time it’s Michael Glatze - a former homosexual and former editor of Young Gay America magazine. Click the link below to hear an interview of Michael sharing his testimony:

POINT OF GRACE - How You Live

Point of Grace - How You Live

We’re taking a look at the new Point of Grace CD song by song. Today we’re looking at the song ‘How You Live (Turn Up The Music)’.

Point of Grace
- How You Live (Turn Up The Music)

Wake up to the sunlight of your windows open
Don’t hold in your anger or leave things unspoken
Wear your red dress, use your good dishes
Make a big mess, and make lots of wishes

Have what you want,
but want what you have
Don’t spend your life looking back

Turn up the music
Turn it up loud
Take a few chances
Let it all out

Cause you won’t regret it looking back from where you have been
Cause it’s not who you knew,
and it’s not what you did
It’s how you lived.

Here’s Heather to tell us more about the theme of this song:

“You never hear someone say, ‘I wish I hadn’t had all those kids,’ or ‘I wish I’d worked more in the office.’ Life isn’t about the office; it’s about family and God.

“I’m about to have my fourth child, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. My husband and I all the time are talking about how we wish we could bottle this time up. You should sit down with your kids and spend time with them, and tell your spouse you love them. The chorus of ‘How You Live’ says it all — it’s not who you knew, or what you did, it’s how you lived.” - Heather Payne

Don’t let past sin and regret keep you from really living. Don’t take life for granted - make the most of each day. Now is the time when decisions are made and life is lived - not yesterday or not tomorrow.

From God’s Word…
From God's Word...
1 Eph 5:15-16

Be very careful, then, how you live — not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

Our Thoughts

Friday, July 20th, 2007

The name of this site is a reference to us becoming a product of our thought lives. As a pastor once said, “We’re not what we think we are, we are what we think…”

In modern day computer terminology it’s known as garbage in, garbage out.

This principle is reinforced in scripture:

From God's Word...

Proverbs 4:23 - “Carefully guard your thoughts because they are the source of true life.

Now it seems like there are beautiful deceptions vying for our attention more and more as a culture which is sex-saturated is becoming darker and darker.

Here’s part of a commentary on this topic:

You cannot live a godly life and fill your life with ungodly thoughts and ungodly pictures. It cannot happen, it will not happen, and it doesn’t happen - and it hasn’t been happening. The only way to change that is to renew your mind. Where does that start? Making a decision: God I want to start thinking your way. I want my life to be what you want it to be. I want to reach the maximum of my potential as a child of God. … I want to begin to think the way you think. I want your wisdom. I want your way, your will, your purpose, your plan for my life. I want the best for my life. Where does that start? It starts with getting in the word of God and absorbing its truth. It means opening this book before you turn on the television set, open some magazine or your favorite book. It means making first, foremost, priority, pre-eminant, zenith, pinacle in your life. It’s the one thing about which everything else resolves. Before long, do you know what will happen? In every single decision you make you’ll be asking the question, “What does God think? What’s the will of the Father?” You don’t have to get on your knees and ask Him - it’ll be your way of thinking. That’s what a lifestyle of righteous living and holy living is all about. You don’t have to say, “I need to go pray.” What happens is is your mind is so in tune with the mind of God, you know what is right, you know what is good, you know what is wise. Why? Because you have re-programmed your thinking to think the ways of God. And that’s what He’s looking for: people who are thinking His way. People who are looking at things from His viewpoint. And people who want to live life at its very best. And that’s living it in the will of God and according to the word of God.

Some of you have never trusted Jesus as your savior. You’re saying, “Well, how does that all fit me?”
