We’re taking a look at the new Point of Grace CD (‘How You Live’ which is due out 8/28) song by song. Today we’re looking at the song ‘Fearless Heart’.

Point of Grace

For even the most trusting soul
this world can be a scary place.
So much that we can’t control
in every moment that we face.

Then a thousand ‘what ifs’ whisper in our ears,
We remember whose we are
and watch them disappear.

The road before us may seem dark, but we trust in God - who is our strength, our shelter, and our guide.

The Political Illusion

Politics is powered by public opinion. The church is not powered by public opinion - but by the Holy Spirit (Zechariah 4:6). Would the enemy entice the church to get behind a pragmatic solution over a principled one? In the end, what makes a difference - mere externals or God’s Spirit working through men?

If you’re not already weary of the 2008 presidential election campaign—some 18 months before we vote—you must be living in a cave without cable or Internet access.
The 2008 campaign began the day after the 2006 election, making this the first non-stop presidential campaign in history. The media, desperate to sustain interest in it, is reduced to pursuing such earth-shattering stories as: Which candidate owns the most pets? The answer: John McCain with three turtles, three parakeets, two dogs, and a ferret.
Even Christians, this early, seem frantic over who’s going to be nominated.
