Seeing this book title made me think. Does God not build other horses too? It’s so easy to be attracted to those things that are beautiful and excellent in some obvious way. It’s easier to be thankful for those things. But we need to remember that God is the only creator. He makes those animals (and people!) that the world does not call beautiful or label as excellent. As we think more deeply about this, we realize that God creates with intent and purpose, not arbitrarily. Worth is more than an external feature or profitable attribute. It’s deeper than that. It goes to the very heart of who we are.
