Jesus is full of grace and truth
Tuesday, March 27th, 2007And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
What does that tell us? Grace and truth are not mutually exclusive - they are not at odds with each other. Yet, for us - living with each of these is not easy. Truth without grace is legalism. Grace without truth is the heresy of a license to sin. It seems that when interacting with others regarding the sharing of the Gospel, our first reaction to their doubt and inability to clearly see what we’re saying is usually not the right one. How do we find that balance of grace and truth? I don’t believe we can. We must let the One who is full of grace and truth do it for us. When we are full of the Spirit - how will we not also be full of grace and truth?
