Eowyn

There’s a recent interview with Eowyn that can be listened to online (MP3 and Real Media Formats are available) here :

Eowyn has had radio play in over 200 cities and has had two Top Twenty National Christian rock singles on the R&R charts. Her first single ‘Take Me Away’ ranked at number #18 and her second single ‘Hold Me’ went up to #15. Her passion for sharing the love of God is evident in song. She says: “I may be an independent artist, but I am not independent from God.”

You can also find an interview with Eowyn from April of this year on our Music Quotient pages:

Plus - don’t forget to look for Eowyn and her band on the road this summer and fall. Check her webpage calendar or MySpace Music page for the latest concert listings.

New Inhabited song - ‘One Show’

Inhabited

Inhabited has a new song from their upcoming CD (’The Life Unfolding‘) playing on their homepage.

Here’s some background on the song entitled ‘One Show‘:

Time and time again people ask us what life is like on the road, or what it’s like to be in a band, so this song was really inspired by all of you who ever asked us that question. There are a lot of long drives, sleepless nights, getting lost, and dirty truck stops, but that “life on the road” is worth it when you get to look into someone’s eyes, and know that “One Show” was just for them! Just seeing even one person’s life change makes it worth the hurdles of getting there.

Then there are those moments when you don’t “feel” anything, and wonder if you made a difference at all! Those are difficult times, but that’s where faith comes into the picture! You obey, plant the seeds, and though you may not see it right away, they will grow.

We’ve all got “One Show”, one shot, ONE LIFE! All of our lives are a platform, and we are all on stage of sorts. Everyday we all have the opportunity to speak into people’s lives. Everyday we cross paths with people we can truly impact! Many are searching, and are looking for something that’s “real”! All they need is to hear it! It may be a homeless person, it may be the person in your office, or it could be someone in your own family. Your life is a platform! What are you going to say? - Sara Acker

And the master said to the servant, ‘Go out to the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.’

I just got back from the annual meeting of fingerstyle guitar players and fans who head to Nashville to celebrate one of the most influential guitarists ever - Chet Atkins. Chet influenced countless guitar players and music lovers with his impeccable touch, musical tastes, and ability to compose, arrange, and play anything on the guitar - from classical to folk to jazz to you-name-it. Plus, he mentored many along the way and was a friend to all. Video highlights are coming soon!

Hang on

Inhabited - 'Innerview'

She paints a smile, for the world to see
But no one knows the pain she feels inside
And everyday she cries, and she wonders why
She’s fought so hard to survive
And the guilt she feels inside
Oh it’s eating her alive
She reaches for the pills because you see,
Her hope is gone

Keep hanging on and on and on
Though you feel your hope is gone, no
Though you feel your life is hangin’ by a thread
Hang on and on and on I said
Keep Hanging’ on and on and on
Though you feel your hope is gone, no
My God will give you the reason to live
Again and again and again, hang on

And everyday, he hears these voices say
‘You’re good for nothing boy,’
‘You’ve messed up too much anyway’
So he tries to find an escape
From the memories that plague his mind
But he feels like he’s drowning
He can’t go on another day
He’s tired of running, he feels all alone
Distorted and twisted
That’s what his world’s become
He reaches for the gun because you see
His hope is gone

Keep hanging on and on and on
Though you feel your hope is gone, no
Though you feel your life is hangin’ by a thread
Hang on and on and on I said
Keep Hanging’ on and on and on
Though you feel your hope is gone, no
My God will give you the reason to live
Again and again and again, hang on

Call to worship

Tuesday, July 11th, 2006

Vicky Beeching

The blazing sunrise, the endless oceans
The spinning planets all reveal their Maker’s power
They shout His glory, they shine His beauty
Their voices cry an invitation to us all
They are summoning every soul,
Summoning every soul…

This is a call to worship
Let it echo all around the earth
This is a call to bow down
And give God the glory He deserves

Vicky Beeching - ‘Call To Worship’ Windows Media Real Media

Sometimes I watch people driving by, or hurrying past me on the street and I just want to yell out “hey! Look up from your busy life and remember God! Remember Him and who He is, and hear His voice calling to you. Calling you to come near, calling you to bow down and give Him the worship He deserves!” It breaks my heart that most inhabitants of planet earth hurry through life without giving God a second thought. His name is taken in vain and He is ignored and mocked by our world.

David in the Psalms writes, “Give to the Lord the glory that His name deserves”. I wrote this song to embody that cry. The feeling behind the song is of a person grabbing a loud speaker and calling to this planet, longing for them to worship Him and give Him the honour due to Him and experience the love He has for them. - Vicky
