Who is Steve and why is he walking? In his own words:
My Name is Steve Vaught, (born Stephen James Liller in Youngstown, Ohio). I am a 39 year old, happily married father of two great kids and I have a pretty good life here in Southern California. You would think that I would be happy because of these things, but I am not. I am not happy because I am fat and being fat makes every day unhappy.

I am not trying to lose any weight but am still enthrawled and touched by one man’s commitment to change his life. It may not be weight, but there is something that we all would like to change abuot ourselves and I am overwhelmed at one man’s effort to do so. I am encouraged, moved, and proud of Steve and his efforts. He has my support and I hope the rest of his life proves to be as successful and fulfilling as this journey across America has been. Congratulations Steve, we are all very proud of you. And thanks for the inspiration.
