Only God can change our hearts for good
Why is it so easy and comfortable for our hearts to become calloused,
and so hard for them to be made tender again?
Sin: we so easily go down its path. Once there, hopefully we’ll see that we’re somewhere we’re not meant to be. But the problem still remains - how do we get back to where we need to be? Such is the nature of sin: we can cause the problem, and cannot do anything to solve it on our own.

I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
