Most of America met Mandisa Hundley soon after the first of the year when she stepped into the national spotlight as a standout contestant on Fox’s American Idol. Thousands of women throughout the country, however, were introduced to Mandisa and her incredible voice several years ago when the Antioch, Tenn., resident joined the worship team at Bible teacher Beth Moore’s Living Proof Live events.

Mandisa became involved in the Living Proof Live events through the contacts she developed while working at LifeWay Christian Resources. She came to LifeWay, an entity of the Southern Baptist Convention, in fall 2000 as a telephone sales representative. She later worked for a short time in LifeWay’s women’s enrichment events area, where she formed lasting relationships with some of the people who help plan and carry out women’s events such as Living Proof Live.
