You can’t throw stones at a fire

Friday, March 17th, 2006

It’s been said that this generation is like a person trapped in a burning car. To rescue them requires that we be proactive instead of reactive. While there might not be visible smoke from a battle for the hearts and minds of the youth, the reality of the situation is apparent.

“We’re not going to let the world love them more than we love them. Whoever loves them the most, wins them.” - Ron Luce

This generation of young people are being courted by the ‘merchants of cool‘. ‘The merchants’ may claim that their intentions are good, but deception is what it is - and the consequences are unmerciful. It’s getting darker and it’s hard to see…but the truth will shed light on whether they are deceived as well as those that buy into what they’re selling. Let’s seek truth, and as we find it, let’s shine so others may see.

Ron Luce, founder of Teen Mania and author of the new book ‘Battle Cry for a Generation’, was on the Family Life Today broadcast this week.

3/15/2006 - From Turbulence to Peace

On today’s broadcast, Ron Luce, president and founder of Teen Mania Ministries, a Christian youth organization that reaches millions of young people worldwide, shares memories of his troubled past with host Dennis Rainey.

3/16/2006 - Wholly Forgiven, Wholly Forgiving

Today on the broadcast, Ron Luce, author of the book Battle Cry for a Generation and founder of Teen Mania Ministries, tells Dennis Rainey how God changed his heart so thoroughly as a young man that he forgave his mother for years of abuse and neglect and fervently sought to reconcile with her.

3/17/2006 - The Right to be Responsible

There’s a battle being waged for the soul of your teen. Are you ready to fight? Today on the broadcast, Dennis Rainey talks with Teen Mania founder, Ron Luce, about a teen’s bill of rights.

We’ve got nothing to prove

Tuesday, March 14th, 2006

Ken Davis was on Focus on the Family today and yesterday reminding us that if we want to live life to the fullest - we should live with nothing to prove. Therefore, we don’t have to be good enough to earn God’s blessings. We don’t have to prove our worth by trying to impress. Instead, we go forward trusting, believing, and accepting what Jesus offers.
