Asking is the rule of the Kingdom
Thursday, March 2nd, 2006Asking is the rule of the Kingdom.
It is a rule that will never be altered in anyone’s case. If the royal and divine son of God cannot be exempted from the rule of asking that he may have, you and I cannot expect to have the rule relaxed in our favor either. God will bless Elijah and send rain on Israel, but Elijah must pray for it. God will allow the chosen nation to prosper, but Samuel must plead for it. If the Jews are to be delivered, Daniel has to intercede. God will bless Paul and the nation shall be converted through him but Paul must pray - and pray he did without ceasing, for his epistles show that Paul expected nothing except by asking for it.
