The need for Internet evangelism
“…young people around the world are hungry to know more about Jesus, and the Internet is an ideal way to reach them. This generation of students doesn’t go to a library or a teacher for information on a topic - whenever possible, they go straight to the Internet.” - Mark Gauthier

amen! (i agree). so many people miss the boat on this one. they either think the internet is “the tool of the devil”, or that it’s some meaningless passtime. i spend a lot of time on the internet, and i much prefer it over tv. tv is far too passive and non-fruit producing for me! i make is a point to stay ‘up’ on internet culture and to jump in with both feet when it becomes necessary. i really put off the whole ‘myspace’ thing for a long time. but it just became so popular that i knew i had to! there are soooooo many young people on there. and even if they’re not my ‘friends’, i know they have the opportunity, the more i make my presence known there, to click on to my myspace site and be ministered to……….
…i also blog, chat, IM, join yahoo groups, forums, and all that. it’s all important……….
