Let Your Kingdom Come…

He Is Exalted

You are Messiah!
You are the King of Kings,
You are the Lord of Lords!
And we pray together:
May Your Kingdom Come,
May Your will be done on Earth, just as it is in Heaven.
Lord we pray, let Your Kingdom Come
Let Your Kingdom Come in our hearts.
Let Your Kingdom Come in the way that we live our lives before You.
Let Your Kingdom Come in our homes and our families.
Let Your Kingdom Come in our relationships with one another.
In Your Body Lord, let Your Kingdom Come.
In Your church - in a more powerful way than ever before -
that we would reflect You before the World.
Let Your Kingdom Come, Lord, in our towns, our cities, and in our schools.
Lord God, let Your Kingdom Come in our Nation.
Let Your Kingdom Come in this Nation, Lord.
Let Your Kingdom Come in every nation, every land, every tongue.
Let Your Kingdom Come in this earth, Lord God, just as it is in Heaven -
Let Your Kingdom Come!
Let Your Kingdom Come!
You are Messiah,
and of Your kingdom there shall be no end…let Your Kingdom Come.

Adrian Rogers

ADRIAN ROGERS

September 12, 1931 – November 15, 2005

In his last newsletter update from the Love Worth Finding ministry, Adrian thanked everyone for their birthday greetings as many, who were blessed by his faithful teaching of God’s word, sent him personal notes. I was one of those people. In an age where truth is negotiable, Adrian preached the unchanging truth of God’s word. In an age of pragmatism, Adrian stood strong on the principles of scripture. In an age of misplaced affections, Adrian loved the Lord. As he noted in this last ‘Ministry Moments’ newsletter…

Join me in sharing the good news of Jesus, who poured out His love and His life at Calvary, that we might have a vital, personal relationship with Him.

God is love. Jesus is wonderful.

In His Dear Name,
Adrian Rogers

God’s promises are for you and me

Wednesday, November 16th, 2005

Ok, so you’re not the kind of person to question God’s Word, but you just somehow feel that certain things don’t apply to you…“I read that, but that’s for them and not me.” I’ve been there too. And then when your eyes are opened to the reality that the promises of God are to you, just as they were to the men and women of the Bible - because God is no less active, powerful, and in control today as back then, you realize you had become desensitized to the truth of God’s Word - deceived by a culture that downplays anything spiritual. So, take another look at those awesome promises of God and trust Him - and then you’ll see that God is not only active and powerful, but also loving and concerned with each of us. After all, we are His kids and He is our Heavenly Father.

The tidal wave is coming…

Dirty Downloads Ready to Go on IPods

Who has the most cellphones and iPods? Kids do. That could backfire as such a brazen move to saturate the culture could finally awaken a sleeping church, or it could be a tidal wave that overcomes and washes away this generation. Let’s pray it’s not the latter.

A Story for Veterans Day

Friday, November 11th, 2005

The Blackhawk helicopter hovered low over a field in the Sunni Triangle. A lone child, about twelve years old, glances up. Someone, his father, or perhaps an older brother, has taught him to hate Americans — which is why the boy picks up a rock and takes aim.

Army reservist Steven Kiel, who is serving in Iraq, describes what happens next.
“The gunner has something in his hand, too, and he’s a bit quicker,” Kiel writes in NATIONAL REVIEW ONLINE. “Whoosh! A soccer ball flies out of the door of the chopper.” For a moment, the boy stands in utter disbelief. He then “collects himself enough to run after the ball.” Once he retrieves it, “he looks up and with a smile from ear to ear, . . . excitedly waves” to his American benefactors.

“Another friend is made,” Kiel writes. “Another member of the next generation is converted.”
