Introducing Joanna Martino - American Idol contender - Christian pop artist
Former America Idol contender, 19 year old Christian pop artist, Joanna Martino, has signed with Patton House Entertainment.
Martino’s first single, ‘Right Where You Want Me’ from her debut album My World, will be released to radio October 14th.
Described by her producer, Drew Cline, as “an artist with an unmistakeable fresh fire,” the Michigan born teenager was, at 16, one of the youngest artists to move through multiple rounds of judging in Los Angeles on Fox’s hit series American Idol. Her professionalism and remarkable vocals won her a staging among the final 80 contestants in the program’s second season. One of five children in a close knit Italian family, Joanna relocated to Nashville shortly after high school. She noted in a recent interview: “My family has always encouraged me to pursue my dreams. They have supported me and prayed for me through this entire journey.”
Patton describes her music as “edgy, uniquely recognizable, and very relevant to today’s market.” Commenting on her signing for management he noted: “Over the past two years leading up the launch of this new record I’ve personally had the pleasure of seeing Joanna’s platform develop. She’s a unique artist–not only vocally and in her songwriting–but in her passion to reach people with the Gospel through the hope and encouragement her music offers. I’m excited not only to work with Joanna on this next exciting stage of her career, but to present a new young artist with this heart and of this caliber to radio and consumers.”
Joanna Martino’s first live performance in Nashville will be on Friday,
September 23rd, at the Benefit Concert For Hurricane Relief to be staged at
Ecclesia Church, located at The Factory in Franklin, Tennessee.
She will join fellow artists Jump 5, Everlife, and Rachael Lampa
for the event which begins at 6:30 P.M. Go to http://www.bldg8.com for more info.
