Until My Heart Caves In - Audio Adrenaline

The new Audio Adrenaline album - Until My Heart Caves In - will be released August 30. Mark Stuart has said that this album might be the most aggressive one they’ve ever made - with some similarities in the writing process to the Underdog album released back in ‘99.

Below are some audio samples from Until My Heart Caves In:

Mark on the road...

Mark Stuart of Audio Adrenaline is riding his Victory 1500 motorcycle coast to coast to raise awareness and funds for the Hands & Feet Project. The tour begins today in West Palm Beach and continues on through Orlando, Jacksonville, Atlanta, Birmingham, New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, Tulsa, Albuquerque, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo and Visalia before its final stop in Sacramento, August 26.

Stuart will be traveling approximately 3,000 miles to raise money per mile for the Hands & Feet Project, benefiting the ministry that his parents run in Haiti for orphans. At the end of the trip, the motorcycle, which will be autographed by various celebrities along the way, will be offered in the band’s Second Annual Charity Auction on Ebay. The 10-day charity auction for the concert is scheduled to begin Aug. 22. The auction for the motorcycle begins Aug. 20 and ends Aug. 30. Other items, such as a drumhead and drumsticks used in the studio to record Until My Heart Caves In, one-of-a-kind t-shirts that Stuart created and wore on stage, a bass used by band member Will McGinniss, a band-owned go-cart and more, will be auctioned for charity between Aug. 15 and Sept. 1. In addition to the “bike” and other items, Audio Adrenaline will once again offer a live concert to the highest bidder! Last year’s concert and other items raised more than $60,000 for the Hands & Feet Project.

The Revolution

The Revolution is a wake up call! The time is short, and we, the church must rise up out of our complacency and truly seek God! It is time for us to step up, join together, and change the world! We have poured our hearts into this record! It is transparent and real and that is where any Revolution begins, in our hearts.

Steve Vaught, from thefatmanwalking.com, visits the site

Saturday, August 13th, 2005

Steve Vaught, from www.thefatmanwalking.com, is walking across America to loose weight.
I originally posted a story about Steve Vaught back in July. Steve who? That’s what I said. But wait, everyone has a story. Steve Vaught has decided to do something about his weight. He isn’t going to join a gym. He isn’t going lo carb. He’s realized he has an addiction and needs to do something extreme. So he’s going to take six months out of his life and walk across the United States from San Diego to NYC. Below is the post that Steve left on the site. Trust me. I did verify to see this was actually ‘the Steve’ and not some Internet prank.

Below are his comments:

Thanks for the support Shannon. You do understand the situation correctly. I wanted to add something though. I have not abandoned my family to do this. The are taken care of and I speak with them almost daily. My daughter is very proud of me and that trumps all of the dissenting Tims any day. I am not some idiot who leaves his family to fend for themselves while I am out chasing womenor booze, instead I am an idiot who let his life get away from him and wants to correct it. The easy and selfish thing to do would be to do nothing, stay home and slowly die. That death would not be an easy one either, it would slowly chip away at me while diabetes, or heart disease slowly eats me away. If I were to follow Tim’s advice and stay home and work at least I would have some extra money to give to the Doctors to keep me alive long enough to torture my family with my long, drawn out death before I leave them alone when they need me the most, and when they are on their way to the poor house because they tried to keep me alive as long as possible. But at least I would have a 781 credit score and I am sure that they would find solice in that. Thanks for the advice Tim and I will be forwarding payment to you for it in the amount that the advice is worth. I am sure you know what that amount will be.

I wonder if I will ever have a chance to meet you during my travels over the next thirty or forty years? Steve

The Jesus Film Project is a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ International. They related an event from a recent trip to West Africa in their latest newsletter…

One of the traveling film teams attempted to show “JESUS” to a group of 600 people, but the loud speakers would not function. Despite their efforts to repair the problem, they were forced to announce to the crowd that they would have to come back another night.

“No! No!,” the people cried out. “Don’t stop the ‘JESUS’ film! Go ahead.” In silence, the crowd watched the entire film while the film team workers explained each scene. Being very familiar with the soundtrack after hundreds of showings, the team relayed to the people the words that Jesus was saying. When the film concluded, 312 people received Christ - more than half the audience! That’s the power of His Word!

VeggieTales - Madame Blueberry

Happiness waits at the STUFF-Mart. All you need is lots more stuff.

I admit. I saw several minutes of this episode of the Veggie Tales series last night. If you haven’t seen them yet, Veggie Tales is produced by Big Ideas. Their mission is to markedly enhance the moral and spiritual fabric of our society through creative media. Everything I’ve seen from Big Ideas is quality computer generated animation. Oh. Did I mention Veggie Tales main characters are vegetables? This episode introduces us to Madame Blueberry. She lives in a tree and has two butlers. She isn’t happy though because she’s envious of her neighbor’s stuff.

But what’s coming in next door? The STUFF-Mart. And, thanks to a visit from some STUFF-Mart salesmen Madame Blueberry finds out all she needs is just more stuff. What does STUFF-Mart have? A 20 gallon wok? They’re in stock! A giant air compressor to blow fruit flies off your dresser - or a dehydrated strudel - or a nose ring for your poodle - or a five pound can of tuna - and some flippers to go scuba — it all awaits at the STUFF-Mart.

So, how much STUFF do you need to be happy? FORBES.com has an interesting article on how much money an American family of four needs to live a “comfortably affluent” lifestyle.

Here are some highlights:

  • $20,000 per year in car payments for a BMW and a Lexus
  • $20,000 on vacation travel
  • $23,000 is slated to be spent on private schools
  • $9,000 will go toward eating out

What’s left out? Saving money and giving anything to charity. There are no indications in the article on why people with such incomings give nothing to the poor.
