Brian “Head” Welch has teamed up with Stephen Baldwin to form a record label: Livin’ It - it will feature Christian music that fans of Brian’s work in Korn will be eager to hear. Also, Brian is going to join Stephen in his extreme sports ministry of the same name. They are focusing on drawing kids from all backgrounds and walks of life into this music and sports show that provides the message of hope and the truth of Jesus Christ. Why are they doing this? Here are some recent statistics courtesy of Focus on the Family:

  • Only 6% of teens today believe that moral truth is absolute.
  • Just 4% of teens today identify themselves as evangelical Christians.
  • Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death among people ages 15 to 24.
  • Nearly a third of all victims of violent crime are 12 to 19 years old.
  • 30% of teen females and 31% of teen males (ages 15 to 17) have had sexual intercourse.
  • Among high school seniors, 70% said they had used alcohol and 34% said they had smoked marijuana - in the past 12 months.

How teens are arriving at these views shouldn’t be a mystery, as a recent BP News story tells us that a poll by The Barna Group shows that only 35 percent of Americans believe in absolute standards of morality.
