Cherie Adams - The Sweet Life
Cherie Adams’ new CD - The Sweet Life

Cherie’s album has a different feel than her work with Avalon - of which she was a member from 1998-2002. Musically, these songs have more of an organic, classically influenced sound. No synthesizers, drum loops, programming, or wall of layered sounds here. Lyrically, these are songs of reflection - looking back on the journey through the good times and bad. This is a record of hope and healing.

Lay it down -

Morning light
Brings another day of barely getting by
Burdened down
And your heart is there in pieces on the ground
Someone’s there for you to run to
Breathe some peace into your restless nights
Give up the fight

Lay it down
His arms are there to carry you
And lift you up
Giving you strength
Jesus is there reaching out
Lay it Down

Listening to these songs, I’m reminded of God’s goodness, and His faithfulness. I’m challenged to trust Him more than I do. I’d definitely recommend this CD. It is a real encouragement and blessing. The first single ‘Water‘, is currently being released to radio and plans are under way for extended touring this summer and fall. Check out Cherie’s new website for all the details.
