What’s more shocking?

Pink Floyd

The sight of a reunited Pink Floyd playing some of their classic songs together on stage at Live 8

-or-

the sight of MTV (music television as it used to be called) actually broadcasting music?

Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

Speaking of Jars of Clay, they have long been active when it comes to needs in Africa. The band members founded the Blood:Water Mission in early 2002. The first efforts of their non-profit organization was the “1000 Wells Project,” which has a goal of raising funds to build, rebuild and repair 1,000 wells in urban and rural areas of sub-Saharan Africa. To date, 42 wells have been constructed, bringing clean water to more than 34,000 people. For more information on the Blood:Water Mission and “1000 Wells Project,” visit www.bloodwatermission.com.
