What the enemy doesn’t want us to understand…

Friday, June 24th, 2005

Note: By enemy, I mean Satan. I don’t mean a political party or representative, or anything of flesh and blood.

God’s Word is trustworthy and true. Ever since the Garden of Eden, Satan has tried to get man to doubt God’s Word. Remember what he said to Eve - “Has God said?” Now he has the luxury of not having to be so bold. Instead, he can be more subtle and appeal to man’s intellectualism and society’s relativism to explain away the unchanging truth of God’s Word. While society and culture changes, man’s sin problem still remains, and man’s need for a Savior still remains. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. The next time someone tells you that the Bible is not inerrant, ask that person to direct you to the parts that are erroneous. Then ask yourself why you are taking that person’s word over God’s Word.

He Is Exalted: Live Worship

This caught me by surprise! It’s hard to believe that Twila Paris has never recorded a live album - but that will soon change on August 30. She will be releasing He Is Exalted: Live Worship - the first release for her on the Integrity Music label.

“Twila Paris is a Christian music treasure. She has written and performed some of our generation’s most important worship songs, and we are honored that she is now recording for Integrity, and as her friend, I am personally thrilled to be working with her,” said Don Moen, president of Integrity Label Group and executive producer of Paris’ new CD.

Day of Fire Benefit Concert - Jackson Tennessee

day of fire benefit concert jackson tennessee

I attended the Day of Fire Dream Center benefit concert in Jackson Tennessee. The concert also featured Greenwood and One Less reason. Day of Fire lead singer Joshua Brown and guitarist Gregg Hionis are from Jackson, Tennessee. The Dream Center is a Christian outreach center for homeless families and individuals in need located in Jackson. It opened its doors to disaster victims the day after the May 2003 tornadoes hit Madison County. (If you haven’t seen a connection yet, read the liner notes.)

For more details on the Dream Center ministry call the Dream Center at 731.512.0095.
