Down with “Team Jesus”!
AFA chief has work ahead tackling “Team Jesus” climate
Air Force Academy superintendent John Rosa “said he will approach problems of religious intolerance with the same urgency and seriousness he has applied to the academy’s sexual-assault scandal and troubles with alcohol abuse. “
Whew… that’s a relief. It’s good to know that someone is finally dealing with we Christians using the severity we deserve. We’re a real problem… right up there with sexual-assault and alcohol abuse! I don’t know whether to feel angry or flattered! And what are these alleged incidences of religious intolerance?
The general called DeBerry’s posting of the “Team Jesus Christ” banner “clearly over the line.”
He said academy commandant Johnny Weida was wrong to send a “Commander’s Guidance” e-mail to cadets saying “you are accountable first to your God.”
Rosa also said campus fliers supporting Mel Gibson’s controversial - and some would say anti-Semitic - movie “The Passion of the Christ” were not appropriate.
This issue,” he said, “is very insidious.”
Oh yes, clearly. (sarcasm courtesy of my jaded subconscious)
“When I say we have a problem,” Rosa admitted to the ADL, “a large majority of people don’t agree.”
Our Democracy at work. The view of the majority is clearly wrong and should therefore be subjugated to that of the minority!
