The beat goes on for Sanctus Real

Sanctus Real Announces New Member…
Bassist Dan Gartley, who has most recently been on the road with Relient K, joins Sanctus Real this month as their newest edition. His first concert with the band was May 6th at the Agape Festival in Greenville, Illinois.

Former bass player Steve Goodrum, who remains a close friend of Sanctus Real, is pursuing another aspect of ministry. Drummer Mark Graalman issued this statement on the band’s website:
“After much prayer and simple searching of our hearts, Sanctus Real has decided to have a change in lineup. After April ‘05 we are sad to say that our bass player, Steve Goodrum, will no longer be with us. For about the last eight to ten months it’s become increasingly obvious to Steve and us that God is just simply calling Steve elsewhere and that his time with the band has come to an end. Though it’s hard to let go of our friend, we know that this is definitely the Lord’s leading in his life and that we would be cheating him by encouraging him to be anywhere other than where God truly wants him. We as a band will greatly miss Steve and his wife Jodie being out on the road with us, but we are excited for whatever it is God has in store for them. Please keep us all in your prayers as we go through this huge change, and also please join with us in welcoming our new bass player and partner in this ministry, Dan Gartley. Also please pray for God’s guidance into His perfect will for Steve and Jodie.”
Catch Sanctus Real this summer on tour - and then this fall as they join Audio Adrenaline on the ‘Until My Heart Caves In’ Festival with ‘Kids in the Way,’ Day of Fire, Pillar, and Superchick.
