Call for U.S. apology over Quran
The United States should apologize to Muslims for the senseless desecration of the Quran which has only strengthened the hands of fanatics and undermined efforts to build democracy, an Afghan newspaper said on Saturday.
As if the Quran (Koran) wielding terrorists who keep blowing people up weren’t creating enough fanatics and undermining democracy enough! One word: “jihad” - it’s condoned and encouraged by the Koran. Tell you what, when the Muslim terrorists apologize for (legitimately) using the Koran as their reason for killing innocent people… then we should consider apologizing! Maybe they can apologize for all the Christian infidels and families they’ve murdered in the name of the Koran while they’re at it.
Newsweek said in its May 9 edition investigators probing abuses at the U.S. military prison in Guantanamo Bay found that interrogators “had placed Qurans on toilets, and in at least one case flushed a holy book down the toilet”.
And I’m sure more than one Bible has seen the inside of Muslim toilets. They act as if this is some major issue… and we’re catering to them. I’ve never heard of something so ridiculous in my life! What about the Bibles that have been taken from kids in public schools (and likely thrown away)… is the government going to apologize for that too?
By the way… did everybody forget the reason why people are dying?
Sixteen Afghans have been killed and about 100 injured since violent anti-U.S. protest erupted on Wednesday over a report in Newsweek magazine that U.S. military interrogators at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba had desecrated the Koran.
“Violent anti-U.S. protest” Hang with me, because this is some staggering logic: They’re attacking us… so let’s apologize to them! Stop the crazy bus… I wanna’ get off.
“Disrespect for the Holy Quran is not now, nor has it ever been, nor will it ever be, tolerated by the United States. We honor the sacred books of all the world’s great religions. Disrespect for the Holy Quran is abhorrent to us all…
Well… not all of us.
Muslims consider the Quran the literal word of God and treat each book with deep reverence.
Hmmm… sounds familiar. Where have I heard something like that before?
“Our military authorities are investigating these allegations fully. If they are proven true, we will take appropriate action. … Guaranteeing religious rights is of great personal importance to the president and to me.”
All right boys and girls, write this one down. Next time your public school teacher or state college professor (as an employee of a government fundedinstitution) starts viciously critizing - and even defacing - the Bible, submit your frustrations to the local law enforcement authorities and they will take appropriate action… Riiiiiighht.
