Interview with Day of Fire

Day of Fire wins the 2005 Dove Award for 'Rock Album of the Year'

Click here for our interview with Josh Brown, frontman for GMA Award winning Day Of Fire.

From his days of mainstream rock and roll success with his
previous band Full Devil Jacket - opening up for bands such
as Slipknot and Creed, to overdosing on heroin, and turning his life
over to Christ - and seeing the miraculous changes in his life as God
brought him out of the bondage of drug addiction and depression - he
is now walking in the ‘favor of God’ and singing, performing, and
living for His glory. The day after this interview, he and his band
went on to get the Dove Award for Best Rock Album of the year.
Congratulations Day of Fire! You can currently catch them on the ‘Rock 4 Food‘ tour.

Tomlin Watermark at the GMA Awards in Nashville

Two of today’s most recognized artist-worshipers, sixstepsrecords’ Chris Tomlin and Matt Redman each received their first GMA Music Award during the 36th Annual GMA Music Awards presented Wednesday at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. The awards show will be televised in national syndication during the month of June with an expected audience reach of at least 75% of U.S. households.

Chris Tomlin, nominated for three awards, received the nod for Praise & Worship Album of the Year for Arriving. Nominated for four GMA Music Awards, Matt Redman received the award for Worship Song of the Year for “Blessed Be Your Name.” “Blessed Be Your Name” also became an anthem of the evening as the attending artists, celebrities and audience arose to their feet and sang the song with Redman, Tomlin and label mate David Crowder leading on stage. The crowd continued to worship with Tomlin as he seamlessly launched into his current radio hit, “Holy Is The Lord.”
