“PASSION” vocalist Lisbeth Scott solo release in theaters everywhere

Lisbeth Scott, whose voice is heard in hit films including Shrek (1 & 2), Ridley Scott’s Kingdom of Heaven and as soloist and co-lyricist for the Oscar-nominated score to The Passion of the Christ, has her new song ‘No One But You’ in theaters everywhere through a promotion with Movie Tunes. ‘No One But You’ is a track from Scott’s original CD, Passionate Voice, recently released on Sarathan/SHELTERecords through Word/WEA Distribution. The single releases to Inspirational and AC Radio in May.

Lisbeth recently was in Nashville where she accepted the Dove Award for “Instrumental Album of the Year” on behalf of Passion of the Christ composer John Debney. The GMA Music Awards will broadcast nationally in June (Date TBD).

Passionate Voice is the only “inspired by” album by an artist from The Passion of the Christ and features Scott’s original songs. Her work on The Passion of the Christ leant strong World music influences, and to add an International element, Scott traveled to Seattle to record with members of The Seattle Symphony and to London to record with London Symphony musicians at Abbey Road. Passionate Voice is produced by Scott and her film composer/musician husband Nathan Barr (cellos, guitars, bol bol, ocarina) and features Greg Ellis (percussion), Chris Bleth (duduk), Bernie Locker (guitars) and Dan Lutz (bass). Scott, a classically-trained musician/songwriter/singer and in-demand session vocalist, has leant her intriguing singing talent to successful film and TV productions from The Sixth Sense to Coca Cola commercials. In addition to her behind-the-scenes musical contributions, Scott is preparing to embark on a national tour.
