Bono’s EDUN - responsible rockstar clothing

Walk On: The Spiritual Journey of U2

U2’s lead singer BONO is now a frontman for a new line of ‘ethical’ clothing labeled EDUN - nude backwards or a clever ‘play’ on EDEN - the Biblical garden of paradise.

Samantha Critchell of the Associated Press reports that Bono’s mission is to let the clothes be a self sustaining relief effort - in fact a ‘hand up’ instead of a ‘hand out’.

His wife, Ali Hewson, says

Bono’s biggest impression of the Africans is that they don’t want charity, they want trade,” Hewson says. “They have pride, they’re very dignified people. They want to work. This company (Edun) is a business model that other people can follow.”

Edun also has teamed with Saks to give it nationwide and online distribution.

Shannon, thanks for posting this. Bono is perhaps one of the most Christian and prophetic voices in the world today. Would that other Christians learn from his Gospel ways.

    Or is He a Christian?

Who cares what religion he follows - if any. He IS one of the most giving, caring and amazingly good men of our time. He has done so much good for so many people, can we just honor him for that regardless of belief?

    YEA DOG! YOU RULE BAONO!
