So true. I’ve heard that we retain only 10% of what we hear, but nearly 50% of what we see and hear. Given what passes as “entertainment” on TV these days, that speaks volumes about the influence of television. Television is a big, bad monster walking down our streets devouring kids left and right. What’s it’s only nemesis? Apparently it needs to be plugged into an AC outlet somewhere. I suggest we unplug our sets and see what life was like before we started sacrificing so much at its altar.
