Mel Gibson on Schiavo - ‘What happened to just being a human being, you know?’

Thursday, March 31st, 2005

In a World Net Daily article, Mel Gibson says the case of Terri Schiavo is ‘a modern-day crucifixion with a pro-death agenda driving it’.

“What happened to just being a human being, you know? It’s nothing more than state-sanctioned murder. All the big guys, they all have their hands tied up by some tinhorn judge down there. It’s a pseudo-classical style that uses a thumbpick…and it’s versatile - you’re likely to see thumbpickers playing an electric, classical, or steel string acoustic guitar. That playing style lends itself to very rich arrangements as you will hear on the song samples.

Also, while you’re there, check out the link from his page to Rick Allred. He plays a very similar style and is an excellent player!

Rev. Jackson Prays With Schiavo’s Family

It was encouraging today to see Jesse Jackson making the statements he did. This is not a political issue and he wisely made a point to stress that…
