KJ-52: Have You Ever Seen God Use You?

Here’s a quote from a recent KJ-52 interview - check out the whole article here

How have you seen God use you?
“A white dude from the suburbs and inner city of Florida doing Christian rap and driving a minivan?” KJ says. “None of that makes sense. No one says, ‘That’s the formula, right there!’ But at the end of the day, it just proves that God did it.”

I’ve spoken with KJ and watched his career for a while now… he’s the real deal - a believer with a heart for God, for people and his music. One of the greatest things about him - he isn’t afraid to target himself in his music. Check out that latest cd. When I can come up with the extra cash, I will too.

I’m not saying its all their fault for the way I was. I don’t buy into that. I hate it when kids use that as an excuse. Youre a free agent.

Its the classic nature vs. nuture debate. It is an adults responsibility to raise a child in the way of the Lord.

If a child is reared in a household where Drugs is normal , they grow up believing its OK. the “free agent” statement is bogus. Yes , I believe in personal responsibility but How is a child to know “right from wrong” if they are never shown the way????????
We are all not raised a “Christian” home.

I love KJ-52. I got to see him live this summer and he freestyled from three random topics that the audience choose… I was amazed. The kid has mad talent, and I really appreciate the maturity of lyrics, especially in the recent Dear Slim part II. We need some voices out there who find it more important to pray for those making an impression on our culture rather than just picketing them.
