Same-Sex Marriage Bans Winning!

Same-sex marriage bans winning on state ballots

Finally! I hope that the liberals takes note of this! The American people are not as brain-washed as they might assume. With these states standing against homosexual marriage - and quite strongly - it’s hard for the homosexual agenda to advance the illusion that most people think homosexual marriage is okay.

As an aside, many commentators have noted that the exit polls indicate that moral values were the most noted issues about which people were concerned. This should say something to the liberal camp - the American people aren’t buying. The Democratic party (strongly grounded in liberal attitudes and agendas) seems to have been left with two choices:

1. Revise their stand on moral issues - or at least fake it.
2. Support the liberal agenda’s war on morality with the attempt to completely obliterate the concept of morality in the future.

If history serves as evidence, I’m afraid I can make a guess at which they’ll choose.

UPDATE: Legislative System vs. Judicial System

The people have spoken. Now what? If you’re a liberal and you don’t like the outcome…you turn to the courts! It doesn’t hurt to fire up the spin machine again either. From newspaper editorials, to tv commentators, to activists…we already are hearing from them, less than 24 hours after the votes have been counted…

>In passing a ban on gay marriage, Michigan voters endorsed discrimination Tuesday. Only the courts — likely the federal courts — can remedy this unconstitutional action.

>This intolerant action should not stand. The legal fight to overturn it cannot begin too soon.

>The votes will become “a blip in the longer term historic view,” said Karl Olson, executive director of the gay-rights group PRIDE in Montana. “Our constitution isn’t going to be able to sustain this kind of restriction on civil rights.”

>”That certainly is disappointing news that many Kentucky voters would think it’s appropriate to write discrimination into our constitution,” said Beth Wilson of the American Civil Liberties Union of Kentucky.

>Gay-rights activists intend to press marriage-rights lawsuits in states like California and New Jersey, where they believe the high courts might eventually rule in their favor.

>”This is a sad day for America, when we start to … write discrimination into the Constitution, and carve gay and lesbians out of the basic equal rights protections,” said Molly McKay.

>”God, guns and gays,” said CNN “Crossfire” co-host Paul Begala, in summing up voter sentiment. Begala and the program’s other liberal representative, James Carville, both seemed to concede that the Democratic Party’s open support for equal rights for gay people cost it a significant number of votes.
