Another Four Years…

Kerry concedes, White House aide says

According to CNN, Kerry has conceded and Bush is our re-elected president. It’s been a ragged night for the nation. While certainly not as frustrating as the last presidential election, it has been rigorous. At 3 am I called it quits and retired after hours of monitoring the election process and John Edwards’ short closing speech saying that they would hang in there until “every vote is counted and every vote counts.” Apparently those votes have finally been counted.

I do not think Bush is perfect, but in my humanness I am grateful to God for the results of the election and I believe that there is renewed hope for our country with respect to the moral and spiritual issues for which many Christians have been standing. However, we must realize that the battle for the future of our country starts again today. Let us not sit simply sit back and be content with what we perceive to be a victory… we must continue to speak and stand for God’s truth. We must renew and strengthen those efforts. Four years is a very short time… let’s not waste it.
