Simple Evidence for a Simple Plan

Wednesday, October 6th, 2004

For all those who are weary with the “search for truth” and the endless discussions/arguments on the reality of God and Christ, I offer you this simple article I stumbled across today. It doesn’t require a Master’s Degree, doesn’t split hairs over endless debate and argument. It’s a simple explanation for why it makes sense to believe in Jesus Christ.

It is a response to this letter [partial quote]:

“…I sure would like to know the truth as a simple man without relying on a language I can’t read or determine the proper rendering of. It seems when someone wants to find the God of the universe they have to go back 2000+ years to get an idea of what is going on. Then you just get backed up against a wall of varying points of view about God, who he is, what he is, ect. I have spent all of my life wondering jsut what the truth is and all I seem to get from God is confussion and frustration…”

So, if you or someone you know feels this way - check this out:

It’s really MUCH simpler than it looks…

God bless.

Edwards fails to take the Foreign Leaders Quiz

Wednesday, October 6th, 2004

The VP debates were last night.

Speaking of fair questions, here’s a highlight from MSNBC last October.

MSNBC’s CHRIS MATHEWS: “And back in the last presidential election, a Boston TV reporter, Andy Hill, asked the president — presidential candidate George W Bush if he could name the four world leaders of four hot spots around the world. They were Chechnya, Taiwan, Pakistan, India. Do you think that was a fair set of questions to put to a guy running for president?”

SEN. EDWARDS: “No.”

MATTHEWS: “Do you think it would be a fair question to put to you right now?”

EDWARDS: “No. Absolutely not.”

MATTHEWS: “So you don’t want to go that route? That was the option you have. I have the answers here, if you wanted to try, but since you don’t want to try, we’ll move on. If you — Are you sure? You don’t want to answer these questions? I know you know at least one of them. You know who’s head of…”

EDWARDS: “Let’s don’t go there.”
