Two-Legged Dog Walks Upright

First let me say, wow… that’s really cool! The dog really walks upright! What an inspirational story for people who have physical handicaps! You should really check out this clip. Incredible!

Second let me point out - since it seems likely that some evolutionary media hound somewhere will try to use this as evidence - that this has nothing to do with macro-evolution. It has everything to do with adaptation. The dog has gained no additional genetic information - it has simply been trained and learned to walk on two legs because it only has two legs. For a dog, walking on 4 legs is far more efficient. In nature, this dog would have died shortly after birth because it could not have fended for itself.

This is a genetic defect, turned into a strength by the loving owners of the dog. What a picture of the love of God - who also takes defects and turns them into messages of hope!

Barack Obama vs Alan Keyes

Their views on Leadership:

Alan Keyes:

We don’t need leaders who are going to put it on the agenda because they think they’re going to get the vote; who are going to put it on the list of things to do because they think they’ll get somebody’s money and somebody’s support. You know what we need right now? We need the leaders who remember that God is God, whether it meant victory or defeat; the leaders who remember that family should be preserved at its heart, whether it won victory or defeat; the leaders who remembered that you cannot take the life of an innocent child, whether it meant victory or defeat! When the strong winds blew, and they knew they would go down, yet they stood in the face of it–not for the sake of money, not for the sake of power, just for the sake of God.

You find such leaders, and you may find the leadership this country needs. You fail to follow them, and you will follow others to destruction.

What are the priorities of the candidates?

It appears that fiscal issues are Obama’s main concern.

“As I travel around this state, I don’t get asked about gay marriage, I don’t get asked about abortion,” Obama said. “I get asked, ‘How can I find a job that allows me to support my family.’ I get asked, ‘How can I pay those medical bills without going into bankruptcy.’”

Extinguishing Flaming Missiles

Wednesday, September 15th, 2004

1 John 5:4-5

From a recent Charles Stanley devotional:

Since our minds are Satan’s battlefield, his tactics will be directed toward our thinking. He sends arrows of doubt, fear, and temptation to penetrate our thoughts. He shoots flaming missiles - false ideas about God, erroneous doctrine, and unbiblical philosophies - to lead us away from truth and to thwart God’s purposes for us. If we allow these arrows to infiltrate our thinking, we will give Satan a strong foothold inside our minds from which he can harass and defeat us. (Eph 4:27)

How can you defend yourself? With Gods’s help, identify your weak areas and begin to strengthen them through His Word. Remember: the fiery missiles of Satan can be thoroughly extinguished by a heavy dose of God’s truth. With Christ, we will overcome!
