Bush, Kerry set aside personal battles
In rememberance of 9/11, Bush and Kerry stood down their personal attacks. Bush reassured the country that the United States will “stay on the offensive”:
“The United States is determined to stay on the offensive, and to pursue the terrorists wherever they train, or sleep, or attempt to set down roots,” he added.
Kerry, on the other hand, had this to say:
“While September 11 was the worst day we have ever seen, it brought out the best in all of us,” the Massachusetts senator said. “And we must always remember that we will only defeat those who sought to destroy us by standing together as one America.”
Hmmm… “standing together as one America”. What in the world does that mean!?!?
Translated: “blah, blah, blah… words… and… some more words.”
What are we supposed to be standing on? Kerry has yet to stand on much of anything!
My mother always taught me:
“If you can’t say anything, don’t say anything at all.”
