‘What we need to hear’ VS ‘what we want to hear’
Monday, September 6th, 2004In the coming days and weeks, I’ll be studying the Obama vs Keyes Senate race in Illinois.
Why? Because I live in Illinois and there is plenty of news and information to review. Also, this race is a good example of politics today. On one side, you have a politically correct, polished, made-for-tv candidate that speaks one way as to appeal to the masses, yet legislates quite differently. On the other, you have a candidate who is driven by principles and the truth therein. Subsequently he is mocked, belittled, and labeled (’right-wing’, ‘nut’, etc) instead of debated on the principles on which he is running.
