Here are two confusing stories…
Hamas Leader Killing ‘Unacceptable’ - Britain Tells Israel
US ‘deeply troubled’ by Yassin killing
The United States and Great Britain are leading the world in the fight against terror. While many nations try to bury their heads in the sand and not deal with the threat that terror poses to society, these two countries are fighting (and leading) it with action, not just words. Yet when it comes to the terrorist organizations that are part of the Pro-Palestine/Anti-Israel group, there is wavering, even a tolerance of these particular leaders. What’s the difference between Yassin and Bin Laden? Yassin was the spiritual leader of Hamas just like Bin Laden is the spiritual leader of Al Qaida. We are searching for Bin Laden dead or alive, yet we are grieved when Israel takes out a terrorist that is leading an openly terrorist group that is actively carrying out homicide missions within their borders.
Hamas unashamedly proclaim their hatred toward Israel…
“Words cannot describe the emotion of anger and hate inside our hearts,” said Hamas official Ismail Haniyeh, a close associate of Yassin.
..and they claim that the Palestinian people are behind their mission…
“Yassin is a man in a nation, and a nation in a man. And the retaliation of this nation will be of the size of this man,”
So here is a group that is consumed by hate, trying to incite a multitude into action based upon that hatred. It sounds like Israel is justified to be concerned and actively trying to kill this threat. If Great Britain or the United States had a geographical neighbor saying the things that Hamas is saying, we would do the same thing.
